I’m teaching a couple of Wednesday nights on “End Times” and last Wednesday we started by reading Matthew chapter 24. Tonight, we’ll be reviewing Daniel’s 70 weeks from [bible] Daniel 9:24-27 [/bible] and the timeline it creates — return from exile to Christ’s crucifixion to the rapture to His second return to the millenial king. I’m using an article called “Survey of Bible Doctrine: The Future” found on bible.org as a resource. Bible.org is a great site for research and has some of the best articles on almost all subjects.

Medial Meniscus tearI hate getting old! For the past month, my left knee as started hurting until recently where it’s gotten to the point I can barely walk on my left leg. I really didn’t want to go in and see the doctor. We’re already going through our share of injuries with teenage boys. I guess it’s dad’s turn. Anyway, the doctor called back after my MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and told me I tore my medial meniscus (see the picture to the left). I never had any kind of trauma or event that I could remember that caused it. The doctor said that is not uncommon. I could have just twisted one way or stepped off a curb and caused it. Well, the best treatment for this is arthroscopic knee surgery so guess what I’m doing on my Labor Day weekend? Yes, I will be recuperating from knee surgery. Meanwhile, the doctor told me to stay off the left and use crutches. NOT FUN! I do ask you keep me in your prayers for the surgery. It will be Friday, September 1st at 1pm.

LibraryThingI just found one of the neatest uses of the internet you can think of. It’s called LibraryThing and it’s great! I use a program called Book Collector that I keep a catalog of all my books in. I simply exported out an ISBN list from it and imported it at LibraryThing and now my library is online and available for viewing by all. You can tag your collection, rate it, and even put a widget on your blog as mine has. You can see it on the the right sidebar below. You don’t have to import, however. You can start from scratch and just enter your books manually by name or ISBN. It’s an incredible site. Enjoy!
