Well, Jo Ann’s parents are in town for a 2 week visit. They are visiting us from Topsham, Maine. We picked them up from the airport and Timothy took some great shots using the Canon 20D. I have included the link below to Timothy’s own flickr.com account. Enjoy the pictures. Timothy is doing great learning photography.

One really neat thing about having a wife who’s parents live in Topsham, Maine, is that we are only a mile from where Joshua Chamberlain’s house is located in Brunswick, Maine, just across the Brunswick-Topsham Bridge. The church, First Parish Church, where his father preached and Joshua attended is located there as well. His house is also located just across the street from Bowdoin College where he was a professor. His house is now a museum. Further down from the college is Pine Grove Cemetary where Joshua Chamberlain and some of his family are buried. To see pictures of the home, church, college, and gravesite, please visit my flickr website to see the images.
The drive was long as always and it took roughly 1600 miles. Jo Ann is happy as can be. She’s always glad to see her Mom and Dad. Also, her sister Suzie is here as well. She’s just as nuts as always (all them Rollins are nuts!). The temperature is perfect at about 74 degrees. We’re absolutely loving it. I’m using the wireless at the Topsham Public Library. Anyway, I hope I can get some photography in while here. I’ll upload the pictures to my flickr account.
Well, I guess it’s about time I put an update on my blog. So much is going on, I haven’t made time to update the blog. The boys are out of school, working is busier than ever, and all kinds of new things are going on at church. Ben is doing okay in Iraq. He had a bad month where he was REALLY bummed and tired of being there. He’s a lot better now. Vacation is coming up very soon. I am looking forward to a nice week and a half break. We will be enjoying Maine again.
