Timothy holding Elijah
Elijah David Hendrix joined us on October 8th, 2008 at 10:11pm at 8 pounds, 9 ounces and 21 inches long. He gave us a little bit of a scare by running a high temperature, but now all is fine. The hospital kept him a few days in NICU while they ran tests but they all came back negative and he got to leave the hospital Sunday. He’s an incredibly handsome little guy (yes, I’m biased!) and Grandma is totally in her element helping Anna with Elijah. Below is a link for more pictures of Elijah.

I was honored to be at my son’s graduation today from Airborne jump school. He completed his 5 jumps and is now airborne qualified. I was even more honored to pin on his wings at the graduation ceremony. We’re here enjoying a weekend with him before he starts
Thomas didn’t get to jump today — the plane had to be repaired. I guess that’s a good thing. He’s thinking they might do all of the last 3 jumps tomorrow but he’s not sure. I’ll update here as soon as I know.
Here we are at Fort Sill and our son Thomas has graduated from Basic Combat Training. He’s been here 9 weeks and is glad to see us. We’ve left the army post and he’s got two pay checks to spend and the first place we went was a mall and a WAL-MART. Now we are leaving the hotel to have pizza and then bowling. It’ll be a full day. Mom and I are very, very, very proud of this young man. Please keep him in your prayers as he leaves for Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas where he gets his Medic training for the next 16 weeks.
