Growing up a military brat, I spent most of my young life overseas in places like Okinawa where I was born, Germany, Crete (Greek island), and even Alaska. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. Those experiences are dear to me and gave me a VERY deep love for the United States. I was able to see how others in this world lived. I wouldn’t trade my US citizenship for anything in the world. Some of the sweetest memories I have growing up is when my father would change duty stations (he was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant) and return home to Columbia and Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. We would visit Grandma Love and Granny Hendrix. One of the other relatives I always looked forward to seeing again was “Big Bill” - Bill Love. He passed away just a few days ago, and I will miss him. I always remember his stories and his paintings. The picture above is a small part of the Hendrix clan — starting from the left, my son Daniel, my son Timothy, myself, my mom Carole, my brother Johnnie, my son Ben, my wife Jo Ann, and my son Thomas.
